Therapist for Teens and Young Adults in San Francisco
Figuring out who you are in your twenties
The years between 16 and 30 are some of the most demanding of a person's life. You are navigating school, identity, relationships, family dynamics, and the pressure to have things figured out, often all at the same time. This period can be exciting and also overwhelming. Things that worked before stop working. Feelings that made sense in one context don't fit anymore. And the people around you may not fully understand what you're going through.
This is exactly the space I work in. I provide telehealth therapy for teens and young adults across California, with limited concierge in-person sessions available within San Francisco. Whether you are a high school student finding your footing, a college student whose anxiety has finally become impossible to ignore, or a young adult in your 20s navigating a major life transition, therapy can help you move forward with more clarity, more steadiness, and more of yourself intact.
Who I work with
I specialize in working with teens, young and rising adults, families and LGBTGAI+ folks.
Young adults and teens aged 16 to 30 are at the center of my work. This includes high school students navigating academic pressure, social dynamics, and family conflict. College students managing anxiety, depression, identity questions, and the transition to independent life. Young professionals in their 20s and early 30s dealing with burnout, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and the lingering effects of earlier experiences.
Families of all configurations are welcome. I work with parents and children together, with families navigating conflict and communication breakdown, and with parents who are trying to support a young person while also taking care of themselves.
The LGBTQIA+ community has been central to my practice since I began my counseling career volunteering at the GLBT National Help Center in 2006. I warmly welcome queer youth, queer adults, queer parents, and families of all persuasions.
Therapy that actually fits a busy schedule
Sessions are available via telehealth across California, which means you can access therapy from wherever you are without commuting, parking, or rearranging your entire day. For clients who prefer in-person connection, I offer limited concierge sessions within San Francisco on a case by case basis.
Sessions are 50 minutes for individuals. Family and parent-child sessions range from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the situation and number of people involved. I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation before we begin so we can make sure it feels like a good fit before you commit to anything.
